03/09/07 Celeste Industries Corp. honored with Bronze Mercury Award at 2007 ITCA Conference

Cologne, Germany – March 9, 2007

Celeste Industries Corp, headquartered in Easton, Maryland, USA, has received a Bronze Mercury Award in the equipment category at the 2007 Annual Conference of the International Travel Catering Association in Cologne, Germany for its "Pearl Foaming Soap". The Mercury Award recognizes unique innovations in both products and services delivered to the passenger travel industry.

Although foaming hand soap has found its way into many retail and industrial market channels, the dominant version found is a transparent, colored or uncolored soap. Within the commercial airline industry, the lavatory hand soap style, color, label and appearance have been integral to the overall airline image projection. Historically, a pearlescent liquid soap has been one key element of that image projection. According to Bob Lacy of Celeste Industries, “The Celeste invention of a foaming, pearlescent soap combines the advantages of a foaming soap with the visual appeal of a pearlescent liquid. “ Mr. Lacy explains that “…foaming soap not only lowers soap and water usage, but also yields overall lower operational costs.”
