We have Gone Purple at Celeste to support Talbot Goes Purple, a movement to stand up against substance abuse. Talbot Goes Purple is an important project focusing on raising awareness of substance abuse, particularly opioids, in our area. It ambitiously engages the community, especially the youth, to stand against substance abuse by promoting education and awareness of the problem. The project includes the creation of purple clubs in our local high schools, teaching students that they do not need drugs or alcohol to meet the challenges life throws at them. It also encourages the “new conversation” between parents and teens that includes the message that prescription painkillers are not safe to use recreationally; 4 out of 5 people who use heroin started with recreation use of prescription painkillers!
Last week, we broke ground on our latest project to make our company more environmentally friendly and to improve our overall sustainability. We are connecting to the town of Easton’s water and sewage systems! When the project is complete, both our water and sewer systems will be managed by Easton Utilities; eliminating our septic system and our dependence on well water.
