Complete Hygiene: Clean, Disinfect, and Deodorize to Eliminate Malodors at the Source

Air travel creates a unique hygiene problem of highly trafficked, enclosed spaces that are prone to microbe and soil accumulation, along with malodor issues, all from a multitude of sources. Relying on non-targeted cleaners and high volatility air fresheners will only provide a temporary fix, while allowing the problem to intensify.

Complete Hygiene means solving the underlying problem, not just treating the manifestation, and providing the best possible environment for passengers and crew. Without a Complete Hygiene program, airlines run the risk of masking a larger issue, making a problem worse and more costly to fix. The core philosophy of the Celeste Complete Hygiene program is to Clean, Disinfect, and Deodorize with products that do not damage the surfaces involved, do not harm the user, and do not negatively impact the environment.

Each product at Celeste has been formulated or designed in such a way as to maximize its compatibility with the entire Celeste product line and the components on an aircraft. Each product goes through rigorous testing to verify it is safe to use alongside other Celeste products and on aircraft components, ensuring that they are safe to use in tight spaces without causing harm. Fragrances are also considered during this process; the fragrances used in Celeste products are selected so that when they are used together, they do not compete with each other to create an overwhelming mix of scents. Instead, they utilize low-key fragrances that complement each other, without overpowering the enclosed aircraft environment.

In the interest of simplifying the Celeste Complete Hygiene program and maximizing its usefulness, we have color coded the products and tasks: blue is for cleaning, yellow is for disinfecting, and green is for deodorizing.

CLEAN with NG Interior Cleaner Complete 

Cleaning means to remove a foreign substance from any given surface or object. A cleaner’s optimum performance depends on the combination of soils, surfaces that are being cleaned, and the specific applicator being used for cleaning. The ideal performance also prevents the re-deposition of soils onto the surface, preventing an accumulated dirty/grimy appearance from occurring.

NG Interior Cleaner Complete is an aircraft approved, high performance multi-purpose cleaner that can be used throughout the aircraft to safely and effectively clean multi-soils leaving behind a clean, streak-free surface. It contains specific agents to prevent the re-deposition of soils, while maintaining its ability to remove soils. Additionally, it is fully compatible with and non-reactive to all known fire-retardant thermoplastics. Maximum performance is obtained when combined with Celeste’s Deep Cleaning Sponges or Microfiber Towels, allowing for fast and effective cleaning during a quick turn, RON, or deep clean.

DISINFECT with Sani-Cide EX3

Disinfecting means to destroy micro-organisms using an antimicrobial agent. This will help prevent cross-contamination throughout the aircraft, while helping to eliminate malodors by removing the source (odor causing bacteria).

Sani-Cide EX3 is an aircraft approved, broad-spectrum disinfectant that doubles as a multi-purpose cleaner, making it a convenient all-in-one product. It offers a safe and effective approach to disinfect aircraft interior hard surfaces, with proven efficacy against Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella enterica when used as directed. Additionally, it is fully compatible with and non-reactive to all known fire-retardant thermoplastics.

DEODORIZE with Biozyme EX3

Deodorizing means to eliminate or neutralize an offensive odor, not to mask it, providing the most efficient solution to long term odor control. This approach attacks the source of odors, preventing them from reoccurring.

Biozyme EX3 is a multi-purpose biochemical cleaner, deodorizer, and fabric freshener that has been specially formulated to attack tough malodor issues, frequently found on aircraft, while remaining safe to use in enclosed spaces. It utilizes a unique 3-pronged approach to solve the toughest malodor problems, instead of covering them up with a high fragrance load.
